Course content

The first year of the programme will provide students with a thorough grounding in the core aspects of business, with a specific slant on business in an international context.  Students intending to go to a non-English speaking country in year two you will be expected to take some basic language modules in your intended country’s language.  Students will receive support and assistance in preparing to go overseas in year two.

During year 2 you will spend part, or all of the year overseas in one of our partner institutions. We currently have links with Universities and Colleges across Europe, China and North America and are developing links in many other parts of the world.

Increasingly many of our partners in non-English speaking countries offer tuition in English, so your choice may not be restricted by only having limited non-English language skills.

During your final year you will be able to choose from a range of specialist international areas in Marketing, Human Resource management, Finance, Accounting, Economics and Strategy.  You will also be required to undertake a dissertation on an international theme.

Assessment is a mix of coursework and examination, with coursework taking the form of a wide range of methods – reports, essays, presentation, business games, group work and projects.
