Low Carbon Vehicles Grand Challenge Initiative
As the UK, Europe and the world face the difficult task of significantly reducing carbon emissions, particularly from road-based transport, there is an increasing emphasis on trying to find solutions which will enable personal mobility whilst reducing the environmental impact of travel.
The Low carbon vehicle Grand Challenge Initiative will draw upon Coventry University’s existing expertise in automotive engineering, design and business and upon a recognised market need to test, evaluate and design the vehicles and associated systems needed to establish low carbon vehicles as viable alternatives to traditional modes of transport.
Collaboration
The LCV GCI is led by the Faculty of Engineering and Computing, and will be delivered in partnership with the School of Art & Design, the Faculty of Business Environment and Society and Coventry University Enterprises Limited. This internal expertise will be enhanced by the active support of the University’s many valuable external partners, in both the public and private sectors.
