iPED 2010

5th International Inquiring Pedagogies Conference

"Conceptualising Impact: Exploring the effectiveness of practice through pedagogic research."

Wednesday 15 - Thursday 16 September 2010
Coventry University, UK

iPED 2010 has now run. It benefited from the attendance of authors and delegates from Australia, Canada, Europe, Japan, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, UK and the USA.

Hosted by the iPED Research Network, iPED is an inclusive higher education research conference which encourages new researchers to meet and debate with more established colleagues, while ensuring the quality of contributions through a process of peer review and feedback to authors.

The best paper prize was awarded to Marina Orsini-Jones, Mike Cribb, David Jones, Ross Graham, Rebecca Lund and Fiona Lee, for their joint paper 'Student-Driven and Threshold-Concept Informed Curricular Change'.

We invited contributions in the form of 500-word extended abstracts or 3,000-word papers – see the Author Guidance page for more details.

Participants were invited to advance the field collaboratively through two broad sub-themes:

  • Exploring Pedagogic, Intellectual, Social, Cultural and Economic Impact
  • Academic Writing, Research Strategies and Collaboration for Evidencing Impact
