iPED 2010 Author Guidance

Conference submission is by either a 500 word abstract or a full paper. Submissions should be made through our web-based submission system.

Full papers should not exceed 3000 words PLUS references.

Submissions will be double-blind peer reviewed for inclusion in our ISBN'd Conference Proceedings. Authors should select the Presentation Format they feel best suits their research.

Submission Options

Presentation Format  Full paper or abstact?  Author-created resources  Related programme slot 
Interactive poster  Either  A1 poster summarising your findings Extended session in which you discuss your findings informally alongside other poster authors with a peripatetic audience. 
Optional handouts.
Presentation  Either Presentation slides (normally digitally projected via PowerPoint) 30 minute timetabled session comprising 15 - 20 minute presentation, questions and set-up/transfer time.
Optional handouts.
PhD  work-in-progress report  Either Presentation slides (normally digitally projected via PowerPoint) 90 minute Critical Friend Forum comprising up to four PhD reports(15 minutes each) with mutual critique and audience interaction  managed by an independent Chair.
Optional handouts.
Workshop/Debate  Either  As appropriate. 60 minute interactive timetabled session (e.g. workshop, panel, dialogue or debate) which you chair and manage.
Symposium with four or five papers (limited programme slots available)  Either Presentation slides (normally digitally projected via PowerPoint)  90 minute symposium (comprising at least four registered participants managing a series of 15 minute related presentations plus at least 15 minutes of audience interaction).
