iPED Research Network
iPED (inquiring pedagogies) is a higher education research network and emergent web-based community, which facilitates research into teaching and learning, and international interaction amongst practice-based scholars.
Peer-led since its inception in 2005, iPED has enjoyed the participation of several hundred academic colleagues of many nationalities in such roles as contributor, peer-reviewer, critical friend, event delegate and guide.
Our annual international conferences are noted for their cross-disciplinary nature and mutual supportiveness.
The iPED Research Network has cooperatively edited a book, ‘Academic Futures: Inquiries into Higher Education and Pedagogy’ (2009), and two special issues of the International Journal of Web Based Communities (forthcoming).
Coventry University’s Applied Research Agenda
iPED's role in support of Coventry University’s Applied Research Agenda is the strengthening of pedagogical research capacity and activity. iPED's nationally and internationally recognised activities enrich and extend this work to the benefit of participants. This, in turn, provides joint venture and knowledge exploitation opportunities for iPED Network members.
