Human Technology Centre of Excellence

The Human Technology Centre of Excellence (HTCE) provides a truly integrated business-driven approach to human machine interface (HMI) customer-focussed innovation, aligned to automotive and transport solutions.

Aims

Our aim is to pioneer a unique human-centred approach to design and engineering, which will become a world-renowned centre of excellence and can deliver a remarkable change in the development of transport systems.

Approach

The HTCE has created a unique multi-disciplinary, inter-School/Faculty approach which is targeted at business needs, and which can take concept, virtual and real designs and evaluate them from a number of different human perspectives (e.g. physiological, psychological) - providing significant cost savings in terms of prototyping and product development.
