The Enterprise and Entrepreneurship degree is a novel approach aimed at equipping students with knowledge and experience necessary to start and run their own company.
By a unique combination of theoretical content, advice from experienced entrepreneurs and opportunity to start an individual or group venture, students can enhance their skills and experience the real world of business. Each student, as an integral part of the degree, is to start their own company and run it applying concepts and skills learned. It is expected that by the end of three years, the graduate will not only hold a degree, but will also be running a sustainable business.
The degree has been designed to allow students the option of several ‘routes through’ the university depending upon their subject speciality – this allows students to have a route through business, engineering, and computing. Hence students graduate with both a subject specialisation and skills in entrepreneurship.
