Biography: Darren Awang is Course Director for the MSc in Assistive Technology within the Department of Social Therapeutic and Community Studies at Coventry University. He has a wide range of research interests that includes occupational therapy, assistive technology and accessible housing. He is a co-lead of a new Social Therapeutic and Community Care Applied Research Group
Darren’s most recent work has been in setting up a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Orbit Care and Repair. This two year project will review and generate evidence to design an intervention toolkit and associated training programme for support workers and practitioners who work with people that compulsively hoard.
