About SISC

The Social Inclusion in Social Care Applied Research Group (SISC ARG) provides a focus for the work of staff currently researching in social work, social care and social welfare. Research activities are in the following broad areas:

  • Social Work and Health Inequalities
  • Race and Diversity in Social Work and Social Care
  • Health and Wellbeing and Social Care
  • Social and Community Care Policy  

Personalisation Conference 2011

Personalisation and Personal Budgets: Lessons from Research, challenges from Policy and Practice
Friday 15th July 2011 (9.00am – 4.15pm) The Techno Centre, Puma Way, Coventry

This conference brings together leading figures in academic and practitioner communities to review the highest quality research evidence and policy analysis about personal budgets and to share issues of importance to both practitioner and academic communities.

It will be of interest to anyone involved in personalisation and personal budgets whether they work in local authority, academic or care provider settings.

The SISC Better Life survey
