Help to Overcome Problems Effectively (HOPE)

What is the HOPE Programme?

    • HOPE is a health and lifestyle coaching programme developed by researchers at Coventry University
    • HOPE is designed to help people improve their psychological, physical and emotional well-being towards a positive attitude in life
    • HOPE builds on people’s strengths and self beliefs by focusing on possibilities and successes, rather than problems and failures
    • The HOPE programme is delivered by health professionals from Coventry University and trained community volunteers
    • It is a group-based (10-16 participants) intervention
    • It is delivered in 6 weekly sessions each of 2.5 hours
    • HOPE can be tailored to individual needs

Who is the HOPE programme for?

    • People living with a long-term health conditions (e.g. heart disease, arthritis, asthma, multiple sclerosis, cancer, depression, anxiety, or any other long term health condition)
    • Carers of anyone living with a long term health condition
    • Anyone wanting to improve their physical, psychological and emotional well-being

    • Develop problem-solving techniques
