Research Sabbatical Fellowship Scheme

The Research Sabbatical Fellowship (RSF) provides funding to release academic staff from their normal duties to concentrate on delivering high quality research outputs which support the University’s research priorities.  It operates across the University and augments any existing local arrangements for sabbatical leave.

An RSF is awarded on the basis of an annual open competition and is not a contractual right.  The number of RSFs awarded by annual competition will be determined by the Applied Research budget allocation, co-funding from Faculties and any external funding provided.  The operation and funding of the RSF will be subject to annual review.
