African Studies Centre

The African Studies Centre is a trans-disciplinary centre which supports teaching on Africa at Coventry University.

The Centre also acts as a platform for interdisciplinary research, bringing the University's Africanists together, and has established a reputation amongst African scholars as one of the most effective and productive African policy related research centres in the UK. Some of its associates are recognised nationally and internationally for their expertise.

Research

The Centre works in collaborative partnerships with research councils, government, civil society, business and individuals and their communities, to find solutions to the problems that African people face in their everyday lives. Its research team also contribute to the teaching of African studies within the University and supervise PhD students.

Migration Aware
The Migration Aware project aims to provide potential irregular immigrants with the information they need, to make an informed decision on whether to embark on the migration process.
