Part-time student funding - 2012 entry

2012 part-time fees

From 2012, a student studying on a part-time basis beginning their studies in September 2012, will no longer be eligible for a means tested, partial Fee Grant. Instead part-time students will now be able to apply for a Tuition Fee Loan to cover the cost of their fees and will be able to apply for this loan on paper from summer 2012. This loan will be non-means tested.

Students must be studying a minimum of 25% (30 credits) of an equivalent full time course.

How are tuition fee payments made?

If you will be paying your own tuition fees - see the 2012 part-time tuition fees section for further details on payment arrangements.

Part-time undergraduate students starting their courses in September 2012 may be eligible to apply for the following support, depending on which course they will be studying and the eligibility criteria.

Funding available from the University

Financial assistance toward living costs
Emergency welfare loans

Government funding available from the Student Loans Company
