BPS Accredited Level A Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing

Would you like to gain Level A (Ability and Aptitude testing) competence in Occupational Testing but you don't have the time or flexibility to attend a five day training course?

If so, this course is for you, as it involves the equivalent of three days of online blended learning that can be completed from any location with a computer and internet connection, followed by two days attendance at Coventry University.  A final day will be spent, independently completing the course assessment.

The course has been developed by Chartered Psychologists who are Senior Lecturers in the Psychology Department at Coventry University and are verified by the British Psychological Society as Assessors of Level A Competence in Occupational Testing.  Our staff have experience in teaching and training a wide variety of students and professionals in psychology, research methods and statistics.  In addition, we have practical and research experience in forensic and occupational psychology.

By the end of the course you will be able to:

• understand the principles of psychometric testing and statistical analysis
• provide advice on the choice of appropriate psychometric test for you or your employer
• purchase aptitude and ability tests from all UK test publishers
• administer ability and aptitude tests using appropriate and ethical methods
• score, interpret and give feedback of test results to test candidates, employers both verbally and in written reports

This course provides training leading to fulfilment of requirements for the British psychological Society’s Certificate in Level A Occupational Testing.
