Mathematics and Statistics Support

Mathematics and statistics are relevant to many areas of study, however, many students find them difficult subjects to approach. The Maths Support Centre (MSC) offers extra help to all Coventry University students in addition to what is provided through their normal tutorials.

The drop-in centre provides a friendly environment where you can discuss your difficulties and receive one-to-one attention from a tutor.

The Maths Support Centre is a part of sigma, a HEFCE funded Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.  sigma is a collaboration between Coventry and Loughborough universities and is successfully working to expand the provision of university-wide support for mathematics and statistics at the two institutions.

The Statistics Advisory Service, which is run by sigma, offers a range of help services from drop-in sessions for any student, to one-to-one booked appointments for undergraduate final year projects, postgraduates and research students. The Statistics Advisory Service also provides postgraduate and staff workshop programs which are run twice a year.
