International Experience and Mobility ServiceIEMS has a catalogue of opportunities to help Coventry University students and recent graduates acquire the skills and attributes to gain international experience and become globally-employable.

These opportunities include various forms of international mobility: study, work and/or volunteering abroad, fieldtrips, international projects and competition. Where no funding is otherwise available, IEMS provides financial support towards travelling and subsistence costs through its International Experience Grants. Free language classes in 10 languages are also offered every year to help prepare for experiences abroad through the Linguae Mundi programme.

In close collaboration with Coventry University’s Careers and Employability Service,  IEMS also helps non-UK students gain professional experience in the UK. To do so, it liaises and develops partnerships with a large number of UK employers and organisations. Additional English-language support is also available free-of-charge.

Lingua Mundi programme
IEMS (jointly with the Department of English and Languages and the Languages Centre) has launched the Linguae Mundi programme for language and cultural learning, whereby both students and academics can learn foreign languages free of charge. Learn more
