Tendering
Where the value of the goods and services does not reach the EU threshold, our policy is to tender any requirements with a value in excess of £50,000. However, because of the European Directives on Public Procurement, we are legally bound to tender for all qualifying goods and services where expenditure is anticipated to exceed current EU thresholds.
Requirements over the EU threshold and covered by the EU directives are tendered and advertised in the Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) which can be accessed at OJEU online.
To view all current tenders and recent awards please go to the Coventry University electronic tendering site. There, you can also register your interest in becoming an approved supplier to Coventry University. Once registered, the Purchasing department will have access to your details and will contact you when any relevant tendering opportunities arise. Contracts above EU threshold
In common with all other Public Bodies we are required to observe the EU Directives on procurement. These require that we undertake pan-European tenders for goods, services or works where the expected contract value, either as a ‘one-off’ purchase or over the total life of the contract, is anticipated to be greater than the minimum set by the EU. Requirements over the EU threshold and covered by the EU directives are tendered and advertised in the Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) which can be accessed at OJEU online. These minimum values are subject to review every two years, normally in January. These are the current prevailing thresholds.
