Aviation Management MBA

Emirates Aviation College (EAC-AAS) and Coventry University, is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the MBA in Aviation Management October 2009 intake. Students will have the opportunity to enrol on this course at one of three locations. Emirates Aviation College in Dubai, Coventry University in the UK, and Auston Institute of Management & Technology in Singapore.
By providing this new opportunity, Emirates Aviation College and Coventry University recognise the diverse needs and increasing requirements for flexibility of its high calibre students.
This programme is designed to prepare students for developing their careers in the aviation industry and is open to all who work within the industry and meet the entry requirements.

Course fees are £13,000, however we are offering a special launch price for October 2009 of £11,000.

MBA in Aviation Management
The course aims to develop those who work in the aviation industry who will be able to apply the following business and management skills to:
- Develop critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills which can be used in complex and changing environments within the aviation industry.
- Apply the theory, knowledge and understanding of business and business processes to the aviation industry.
- Empower and enable you to make improvements in business and management practice within your field in the aviation industry.
Course content and duration of study
The course will be delivered on a part-time basis over 18 months with classes taught by a combination of Emirates Aviation College and Coventry University faculty members. Classes will be taught on a modular basis scheduled in concentrated five day periods.
Students will study the following of eight modules and a dissertation.
- Airline Operations
- Airport Operations
- Aviation Strategy
- Financial Analysis for Managers • Global Issues in the Airline Industry
- Project Management
- Organisational Behaviour & HRM
- Marketing Management
Accreditation
The programme is formally accredited as meeting the educational requirements for chartered membership of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT). Graduates of the programme with sufficient working experience and seniority in the industry will be eligible to apply for CMILT status.
Entry Requirements
Applicants are expected to have one of the following:
- An Honours degree in any subject, with a minimum of second-class or an equivalent bachelor degree
- A relevant professional qualification of an equivalent level
- A lower qualification with at least five years relevant working experience at a professional level.
- Students whose first language is not English are required to have IELTS 6.5
