Activity led learning: a radical vision for learning

 
An innovative past is not enough, we are leading the way in answering the needs of industry and commerce, with graduates who are not only strong in their subject but have all of the other skills required.

Our business partners tell us that they need the technical skills that we are famed for, but that equally importantly they need graduates who are capable to working in, and leading, teams; who are great communicators; who know how to manage a project to successful completion; who are creative in all that they do. Activity Led Learning is our innovative response to this modern agenda.  

We aim to provide an environment where our students can see their discipline, alongside many others, in context, so that when we develop learning in each of the elements of the subject the student understands how the whole fits together. This means that they will be solving real problems, complex problems from day one. We believe that it is easier to understand for a reason which leads to better understanding. 
 
The outcome, graduates with all of the technical knowledge expected but with a much greater understanding of how to solve problems that reach beyond their discipline and field. Graduates who fit in, and contribute, to your organisation from day one.
