Our approach
We believe Coventry University College offers a refreshingly straightforward approach to higher education. It is designed for students who want to focus on their studies and live at home without worrying about accommodation – stay at home and commute to study. We tailor our timetables to allow you to hold down a job and study or to combine study with domestic responsibilities or other lifestyle choices.
Our courses are designed to deliver an intense, highly structured, taught learning experience. Teaching will take place in small groups with weekly tutorials to review progress. Tuition will be in 6 week blocks that allow flexibility of study.
We assure high academic standards in our courses which are awarded by Coventry University. We have great teachers and support staff who are dedicated to ensuring students achieve their full potential.
Coventry University has an excellent reputation for teaching quality; this is endorsed by both the students of the University, who gave an 85% approval rating in the latest National Student Survey, and the UK national quality agency. Coventry University College adopts exactly the same processes and practices to assure the quality of your degree.
The views of our students are a very important element in our understanding of the quality of teaching and learning and because of this we will ask our students regularly to tell us their views. We have also deliberately designed our courses with professional body requirements in mind. This means that if you have done everything that you need to, attended all classes, passed all your tests and course work and taken our special, extra revisions classes, then we are confident that you will have an excellent likelihood of passing the professional award that you may take. If not, we will, at our expense, fund a second attempt for you.
Outstanding value
The cost for a full-time year of study will be £4800 in 2012/13 or pro rata for each block taken if studying in part-time mode. This contrasts sharply with the average teaching fee of £8,666 for UK universities in 2012 and underlines the flexible, value-for-money philosophy of Coventry University College.
