- Watch a Championship football match at the state-of-the-art Ricoh Arena, home of Coventry City Football Club
- Head to the Sky Dome Arena and experience the pulsating action of a Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey match
- See some of the world’s best speedway riders at the Brandon Stadium, home of the Coventry Bees Speedway Team
- Have a night out at the dogs! - The Brandon Stadium also plays host to Coventry greyhound racing night every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday
- The Butts Arena, home of Coventry Rugby Club, is only a short distance from the University. If you like Rugby then a trip to the Rugby Football Museum in Rugby is a must. The museum celebrates the life of William Webb-Ellis, who founded the game when he famously ran with a football in his arms during a school match in 1823
- Coventry was recently ranked the 16th best city in the UK for running by Runner's World Magazine, scoring highly in the air quality and safety categories. The city's main running club, Godiva Harriers, is one of the oldest in the world.


As a Coventry University student you can take advantage of the numerous sports facilities available on campus. The city also has a great portfolio of sports facilities including:
- Coventry Sports and Leisure Centre encompassing the city’s Olympic-size swimming pool
- Ice-skating at the Sky Dome Arena
- There are a number of Golf clubs in the city and in the neighbouring Warwickshire countryside
- Ten-pin bowling is available at the nearby Crosspoint Business Park
