Centre for Excellence in Learning Enhancement (CELE)

The Centre for Excellence in Learning Enhancement (CELE) was established on 1 August 2010. The Centre is based in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences and is situated in James Starley Building. The Centre builds on the success of the Centre for Interprofessional e-Learning (CIPeL), which was one of 74 Centres for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) funded by HEFCE in 2005. CIPeL was a collaborative CETL with Sheffield Hallam University (visit www.cipel.ac.uk) Interprofessional education, which is now embedded in curricula, remains an important aspect of the work of the CELE and is integral to its broader remit of enhancing teaching, learning and assessment across the Faculty.
