What do Coventry University graduates do?

Graduate careers

Coventry University is committed to the employability of its graduates and to helping you stand out in the competitive graduate job market. Preparing you for a successful career is central to the design of our courses and the other support we provide. We know that securing a graduate level position is the return you want from your investment in tuition fees.

Last year an impressive 94% of Coventry graduates gained employment or continued to further study. Our students secured graduate jobs with some of the world’s leading organisations such as PWC, Deloitte, Jaguar Land Rover, DHL, the NHS, Accenture, Hewlett Packard, Augusta Westland, Barclays, Pfizer, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin and many more.

Placements and work experience

An important part of this success story is not only due to students achieving a good degree, but also because of the work experience undertaken, contacts made and the skills that have been developed during the time at the University. These skills are developed in many different ways at Coventry: through your academic programme; volunteering; short and year long placements; and through the unique Add+vantage scheme, which is offered to all students (apart from those on NHS courses).

The Add+vantage

The Add+vantage scheme offers a wide range of employability modules taken each year and has been designed to give you a competitive edge in the job market. As a truly global and entrepreneurial University, Coventry will also provide you with many opportunities for study and work experience overseas.

Employability support is offered by your Personal Tutor, Employability Tutor in your department and from Careers and Employment Advisers in the Careers Service. So there are lots of people who can help you throughout your university life. This support will continue for as long as you need it at the end of your studies.
