Automotive

The city of Coventry resounds with the echoes of the UK’s car industry and so Automotive is a natural area of study for students at Coventry University. Whether it is the design of cars, their engineering or their manufacture you are interested in we share your enthusiasm.

The Department of Industrial Design offers a range of automotive courses.

Our courses in this area are world famous. Automotive Designers from Coventry can be found in car styling studios around the world. Our Automotive Engineering graduates command senior positions in vehicle manufacturing and automotive supply-chain companies.

Automotive Manufacturing specialists find themselves in demand within both engineering and business management fields within the automotive industries worldwide.
In 2004 Coventry School of Art & Design was voted the Overall Winner and Best Design School in the World Automotive Design Competition held at the Canadian International Automobile Show.

In 2005 we won two prizes in the 'New Concepts of the Myth' international design competition by Ferrari.
