Priory is a really good place to move into after you have moved out of home. You could never be home sick there. It’s really convenient that you get tasty food included. But especially when you eat, you socialise with others (as during other times)! Your neighbours are friendly and funny people. But you could always find that valuable time to concentrate and study in a comfortable room. A good thing is that they have thought about everything, so you have internet included in the price, as well as sport membership to give you the chance to relieve stress in the gym.

I’ve always felt safe during my stay because there is a Protection Officer on site. Priory is right in the centre, close to University buildings and nightlife. The bus station is just opposite the street, so you could go anywhere easily. Chose Priory and you won’t be sorry!

Apollo House has a great community feel about it and enables you to fit right in. It is across the road from the local shop as well as several take away restaurants if you can’t be bothered to cook! It is within an acceptable walking distance from the City Centre, Central Six Retail Park and the University itself.

The showers and toilets are very clean and modern, and all rooms have a sink in them as well as space to store towels, shower gels, shampoo, etc. The rooms are clean, spacious and modern with enough storage space and all come with a desk and notice board which is especially useful for when you’re hard at work.  The accommodation has heating so that you are cosy and warm during the winter and this heats up the whole room nicely. The beds are very comfortable and give you a great night’s sleep. You get your internet included in the rent which is very useful and there is also aplace to connect your television – providing you’ve bought a licence!

The security staff and warden are friendly and are always at hand to offer help and advice, as well as being able to let you in if you don’t have your key!

Quadrant Hall of residence has to be one of the nicest, cleanest and friendliest places's to stay in your first year of study at Coventry University and a must if you cannot cook.

Quadrant Hall is a catered hall of residence it was great eating in the canteen with fellow Quadrant Hall students and was a nice daily experience speaking with everyone and anyone and also learning a lot about different people's courses, culture and language. Also getting up to a full English each morning was brilliant along with an evening meal in which we had a different choice every day.

In addition friendly canteen staff, always smiling and making an effort to talk to us which felt really good especially on some of my off days. My room was very spacious and I had a fantastic view and the desk was perfect for studying.

I have met some amazing people here and have had so much fun, we were like a little community and this made Quadrant Hall feel like a second home and I felt everyone at Quadrant was like a second family to me.

Radford Road is a great place to live in, its 20 minutes walk away from the University, which is good if you want to get away from the hype that the student campus brings. This also allows a student to get work done without much distraction from outside.

Radford Road has a great homely feeling, so those who are homesick can find great comfort living here. The area is served by frequent buses which is good. Radford road has en-suite facilities which are good for privacy.

The kitchen is pretty big and the staff do a great job to ensure the kitchens are kept clean, but it is also up to the student to keep the kitchen in a hygienic condition. There are cupboards and drawers to put your cooking utensils in, so it won’t be mixed up with your flatmates. The rooms are pretty spacious, in each room you are given a desk and two chairs; a working chair and a luxurious chair, this gives you a great choice whether you just want to chill out in your room or you want to do some work you have the facilities at your disposal.

Radford is a great place to live in, you will love every moment.

Since moving to Coventry, the accommodation I have received is of the highest standards, my room was very clean and tidy when I first arrived. The communal areas are spacious and make for a very pleasant area to hold a conversation with my other flat mates. We have quite often had the flat opposite over for a few drinks. Even with them coming over the communal area still feels very spacious.

The kitchen has plenty of cupboards and the fridge freezers provided is adequate space for a week to week living. The oven and hob is electric, which in my experience is safer and easier to cook on even for first time cooks. We were also provided with a toaster and kettle when I first moved it.

The room in which I live in is a standard sized en-suite, the room is big enough for me to house my television, printer, laptop and desktop all on my desk and still have plenty of room to have text books and stationery on there. Also there is plenty of room for clothes and other things with the cupboards provided as well as under bed storage which allows somewhere to put boxes or things you might not need from day to day.

Before I came to England, I felt really concerned about facing with the different culture and starting to live on my own, far away from home. But after I moved into Sherbourne House I started getting used with everything new around me quite fast because it felt like home. The cozy atmosphere of Sherbourne House made me feel relaxed and ready to begin forming the foundations of my already more independent life.

The best part is that each bedroom is en-suite. I really don’t know what I would do without my own bathroom, because it is definitely more convenient and there is hot water all the time. All the bills for gas and electricity are included in the price you pay. There are parking spaces as an extra charge in front of the house for those who have cars as well.

Sherbourne House is situated in a very central place and everything you could possibly need is within walking distance. There is a big shopping center nearby and also indoor market, cinema, a few clubs and some nice parks, where you can have a rest, enjoying the nature.

Living in Singer Halls has helped me make the transition from living at home, to gaining personal independence, for me it is a vibrant, fun place to live. There is 24-hour on site security as well, so there is always someone available should you need them.

The bedrooms are spacious, so you can move it around and make it your own to make so it is comfortable for you whilst you stay at the university. The rooms come with a lot of storage space to ensure that you are able to keep things safe and in order. Another good thing I found about living in Singer halls is that you can get to know each other well; you use each other rooms to watch TV and DVDS as well as get ready for a night out.

The kitchen is also a good place for students to get together, as there is the dining area where you can cook and get to know the other flatmates that you live with. The kitchen has a lot of cupboard and fridge space to put everyone's belongings in and it’s good to chat to each other at the end of the day.

I also like the fact that within the price for the year you also get free internet membership and gym membership, to me this has been great value for money. Overall Singer Halls has been a great place for me to live at while I have been away from home as it has given me the independence to look after myself.

Coming to university was one of the biggest steps so far in my life, I did not know what to expect just like any new student. Living in student halls has been the best and most memorable experience of my university life so far. I lived at Trinity Point. I had my own room and most importantly the comfort of my own bathroom.

Trinity Point is ensuite, and divided into clusters of six flats and a shared communal area, for the kitchen and dining area. It is five minutes from the University, the library and 10mins from the city centre. It is safe and secure and I lived in an all girls flat. We were like a family, just like sisters. We made our flat into a home. We cooked together, went shopping and spent a lot of time together. It’s strange how we grew so close because when we first met we were all scared as we all came from different backgrounds, cities, and had different interests. We did share one thing in common that was that we were students, new, and feared the same thing.

When we arrived at Trinity Point on the move in date, the staff were very friendly, and a few students who worked there as Student Ambassadors, who had lived there the previous year helped us settle into our new home. All Trinity Point residents managed to meet one another as they held game nights, quiz nights etc for all the students, and this enabled all residents to make friends, and meet people from their courses etc.

Calice Court is a great place to live as there are a variety of different students living here, so you are guarenteed to make friends quickly.

The flats are very modern and spacious, and the rooms are the best compared to the other student accommodation available in Coventry. The staff are extremely friendly and are willing to go that extra step further to make sure that you are happy. The first day you arrive you will probably feel nervous, just like I did, but the team at Callice are very welcoming, and help you settle in; so much that I’ve decided to live at Callice with my friends again next year!

I’m a first year at Coventry University and I’m staying in a university house on Westminster Road. You don’t worry about not having the close knit community
you do in halls because there are many university houses on this road and we’re all quite close. Being in a house gives you the opportunity to get to know lots of people as well as having the freedom of being on your own and independent.

I love the location of my house because it’s a minute walk from the station, 7 minutes into town and 15 to the university and 20 minutes to the library and so you have the most essential things at your fingertips. You also have a lot of social activities nearby such as Riley’s a pool/snooker place, night clubs as well as the cinema to mention a few.

I live with five other people and enjoy this because it means you can get to know people more and form stronger friendships. You quickly find the kitchen becomes the place to be at all times whether cooking or just for a chat. The experience: It’s simply what you make it and I’ve got to say
I love it.
