International students
Coming to the UK as a student can open up a whole new world, full of unique opportunities, memorable moments and life-changing experiences. It can also be a challenge trying to understand how the UK education system works, learning how British people interact and communicate with each other, and adapting to life in the UK whilst away from family, friends and familiar surroundings.
The International team is made up of multi-lingual staff, many of whom have experience of living and studying abroad. Based in the purpose built Student Centre, it is our intention to support you throughout your time here - we’ll be there from picking you up at the airport, right through to graduation!

For students arriving on the weekends of Saturday 24, Sunday 25 September 2011, Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd October 2011 the International Welfare Team will be here to welcome you. If you have booked University accommodation you can go directly to accommodation where you can collect your keys and move in. You can obtain more information from our accommodation website.
Once you have settled into your accommodation you can join our 
induction programme.
Please remember that Faculty timetables should take priority over the International Office induction timetable. Please ensure that you attend all mandatory faculty sessions rather than choosing to attend any events listed in the International and EU induction timetable taking place at the same time.
Where to go on your first day
All International and EU students should go to their faculty on their first day regardless of whether they have enrolled or not.
