Design and Visual Arts degree show
Each Design and Visual Arts student will contribute to the degree show in the final year of their degree study. This is arguably the highlight of their course and the event which they have been aiming towards since starting the course. Each student will present an exhibition of their best course work and although many of them will have tested their work in the public domain before, the degree show will provide them with a great opportunity to showcase their strengths and capabilities, their imagination and wit and their potential as artists and designers, as they embark on their professional careers.
In this year's degree show, a wide range of work from seven studio based Design & Visual Arts courses will be exhibited in the School of Art & Design's Graham Sutherland building. The courses include: Graphic Design, Illustration & Graphics, Illustration & Animation, Fine Art, Fine Art & Illustration, Fashion and Fashion Accessories. Finalists in the Fashion courses will also be preparing for their end of year fashion show but they will have some of their work on show during the degree show as well. In addition, the students on the Foundation Diploma in Art & Design will be exhibiting their work at the same time as the degree show.
In July of this year, a representative sample of work from the degree show will be exhibited at 'Free Range' in London, an annual showcase of the very best of UK degree show work... read more
