Employability and Placements
The Faculty stresses the importance of preparing students for employment emphasising the development of skills, competencies and the understanding necessary to contribute in the rapidly changing work environment.
An insight into the world of work
A placement will give you an insight into industry allowing you to test your career plans by obtaining experience in your chosen field.
Employability
It is recognised that graduates with placement experience will, on average, go on to higher paying jobs than those who have not undertaken a placement year and often find graduate jobs more quickly than those who have not done a placement.
The Employability and Placements Unit
Students within the Faculty of Business, Environment and Society have access to a dedicated and specialist Employability and Placements Unit based within the William Morris Building
The Employability and Placements Unit strives to support students in developing their employability skills and to meet the needs of external organisations through a network of successful contacts and strategic partnerships throughout the UK and globally.
